15th BCC Open headed for a new record

Over 300 players have registered for the 15th Bangkok Chess Club Open.

306 players from 43 different countries are heading to Pattaya for Thailand’s premier chess tournament, to be held at the Dusit Thani from 12-19 April. We are well on the way to breaking the 2013 record of 314 players.

BCC Championship 2015

All games are now complete for the 2015 Bangkok Chess Club Championships. Congratulations to Jimson Bitoon for an outstanding performance– 7.5/9 –to become the 2015 BCC Club Champion.

The B-group has joint winners Peter Darby and Rommel Posadas, both with 8/9. There may be a playoff of 2 blitz games followed by armageddon (if drawn) to determine the bragging rights.

15th Bangkok Chess Club Open 2015

The Bangkok Chess Club is pleased to announce that the 15th Bangkok Chess Club Open 2015 will be held at the Dusit Thani Pattaya, April 12-19. Three of our former champions are returning to try to reclaim their crowns, including Grandmaster Nigel Short who won Pokerstars Isle of Man with a staggering 2788 tournament performance rating.
