Registration for the 13th BCC Open 2013
The list of participants at the 13th BCC Open 2013 is growing daily and can now be viewed online (updated weekly). This and other links for information are:
13th BCC Open 2013 switches to classical time control
CHESS ON THE BEACH! The 13th BCC Open 2013 will take place in the luxurious Dusit Thani Pattaya, taking full advantage of their newly refurbished ballroom.
In consultation with Grandmaster Nigel Short, the reigning BCC Open Champion, the format has been changed in favour of the classical time control used in all major FIDE tournaments including the Olympiad: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves and 30 minutes for the remainder, with a 30-second increment throughout. As the Champion said, we should see a lot more interesting endgames at the tournament.

Prajuab Cup and the BCC
The Bangkok Chess Club will not be operating at the Queen Victoria on the 19th as the Prajuab Cup is starting that evening. This month’s FIDE Blitz will take place on the 23rd at Roadhouse instead.
