Top rated player, Francesco Vallejo-Pons is returning to Bangkok along with former BCC Open Champions Jan Gustafsson and Sune Berg Hansen. 17 Grandmasters so far have confirmed their registrations, along with double gold medal winner WGM Irene Sukandar. Below are the early lists.

- A 6 round Swiss system shall be used in this tournament
- Each player has 25 minutes to complete the game
- Players with out on his table assignment before in each starting of the round will be defaulted his game in that round
- Recording of games is not compulsory
- FIDE chess rule shall be applied
- Aribiter’s decisions are final
3. Awards
a. Cash prize : 2,000 Baht / 1,000 Baht / 500 baht
b. Each category shall receive 1st place trophy, 2nd place trophy and 3rd place trophy.

The 14th Bangkok Chess Club Open 2014
The Bangkok Chess Club is pleased to announce that the 14th BCC Open will be held in the Dusit Thani Bangkok over the Songkran period, 12-19 April 2014. As the tournament has grown each year, the Dusit Thani has offered us the use of their two main ballrooms to host the event, giving us over 1600 square metres of luxurious playing space.
This will also be the Thailand Open Chess Championships 2014
