We are delighted to announce that the 21st Bangkok Chess Club Open will take place at the beautiful Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, 13-21 April 2024.
This spectacular beach-front resort is close to Hua Hin, one of the top tourist destinations of Thailand from its great amount of attractions and activities. The city has many incredible beaches, mountains, viewpoints, temples, night markets, water parks, and fine dining for you to choose from and enjoy at any time of the year.
As before, the format will be a 9-round Swiss System classical tournament, with one round per day – and an opportunity to take a one-round bye with 1/2 point if you would like to explore the surrounding area.
There will also be a concurrent blitz championship played over two evenings, won in the 20th BCC Open by China’s GM Wang Hao.
A registration form will be available shortly, with early bird entry fees until March 15. Very advantageous room rates have been negotiated, but please note, you have to book by March 30th.
